All Display Ads
We prefer to receive the ad as a digital file sent on a floppy, zip, jaz disk, or CD, via our FTP site, or attached to an e-mail. Our preferred format is QuarkXpress for Macintosh. Additional accepted formats are Pagemaker, Illustrator, Word or WordPerfect and others. We can translate these from PC-based files to Mac based files. Ads can also be saved as TIFF, PDF or EPS, along with the native files so that future changes can be made. All scanned images must be high-resolution (266-300 dpi). Please include a printout of the ad, list the fonts, and the type of program and version used. Please do not use True Type or Multiple Master fonts. If digital files are not accessible, then final film should be submitted as negatives, right-reading, emulsion down. All film will be scanned and a production charge will be incurred.
2-Color and 4-Color ads
All colors and images are to be saved in CMYK mode. Color ads must be accompanied by a contract color proof. A contract color proof is one of the following: a high quality dot generated digital proof such as Kodak approval, Polaproofer, 3M Digital Matchprint; or a film based proof such as a Matchprint, Chromalin, or Press Match. Other color proofing systems are not considered contract proofs.
Production Charges
Production fees will be incurred under the following circumstances:
- Typesetting of ad: $50 plus $10 per image/logo scanned
- Submission of camera ready copy without a disk: $24
- Submission of film:
- Black & White ad - $24;
- Color ad - $48 for 2-color/ $96 for 4-Color
- Type changes to ads: $30
